Sited at a strategic gateway to Heiden, the Park Hotel mediates between the dense urban fabric, historical civic spaces, and the surrounding alpine landscape. The design pairs a compact five-story rectangular volume with a low elevated cylindrical conference hall, establishing a sheltered vehicle drop-off portal while seamlessly extending the adjacent Kurpark across the plot.
Minimal Ground Footprint: The five-story main volume optimizes land use, preserving landscape continuity and site porosity.
Civic Intersection: The low elevated cylinder housing the conference room intersects the main volume at the primary entrance, creating a covered exterior drop-off area.
Park Continuity: Connects Kurpark and Durant Platz into a continuous pedestrian landscape, incorporating traffic-calming measures along Seeallee and integrating parking within planted buffer zones.
Double-Height Podium (GF / Level 1): A 6.5-meter double-height volume accommodating the main reception, lobby, bar, and breakfast room behind a highly transparent envelope.
Mezzanine Level: Houses administrative offices and flexible meeting suites with direct access to the elevated conference cylinder.
Efficient Residential Floors: Rationalized, repetitive upper floor plans designed for streamlined mechanical distribution, featuring 10 standard guest rooms and 3 executive suites per level.
Vertical Circulation Core: A central spine containing an enclosed emergency staircase and two panoramic elevators opening onto central corridors.
