Transforming a traditional 1883 Amsterdam townhome near Vondelpark into a fluid, light-filled sanctuary. Kubota & Bachmann Architects reimagined this dual-level residence to eliminate the classic "tunnel effect" inherent to deep-plan Dutch housing.
Through custom wall light boxes, full-height reflection mirrors, ribbed glass partitions, and silver curtains, natural and ambient light filters effortlessly across both levels—ending in a tactile master bath wrapped in kit-kat mosaic tiles.
